HungerMitao Raises 30 Million Meals for Feeding America and its Network of Food Banks in 3 year!
Three years ago, on Sept. 29th, the HungerMitao movement was launched. Founders, Aradhana (Anna) and Raj Asava celebrated this landmark on their weekly radio show (Thursdays at 2:45pm on 104.9FM in Dallas area). The movement was first launched in Dallas at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) in 2017 and has since spread to food banks in Houston, New York City, Atlanta, and Seattle. “The Indian community embraced the purity of cause, simplicity of message, and the opportunity to unify,” Anna said. In the beginning, Anna was excited and nervous about what the movement would look like, and now, three years later, she is reenergized by its growth.
